Over the past 18 years, Active Imagination has video documented over 200 weddings in the Hampton Roads area. And even though our business has evolved into producing more and more corporate content, we do still provide wedding videography services.
Our style is documentary. This means there will be very little interaction between our cameramen and you and your wedding party. We don't tell you what to do, where to go or how to stand; we simply document your special day as it occurs naturally. While your photographer will handle all of your staged moments, we aim to capture the more subtle sights and sounds of the day through video.
We are professional, experienced and extremely flexible to work with, so feel free to bring us any special requests. We look forward to helping you capture your special day.
Packages & Pricing
Packages
We've learned over the years that most couples are looking for pretty much the same thing, so we have simplified our package offerings to reflect that.
Package 1 - $2500
This is by far our most popular package. It covers from the start of the ceremony to the end of the reception (up to 7 hours) and includes:
• 2 manned cameras for the ceremony
• 2 wireless mics for the ceremony
• Single camera coverage of the entire reception
• Chronological editing of all footage
• A highlight video easily shared on Social Media
• HD digital files
Package 2 - $2000
This package is almost identical to Package 1, but is a little more budget friendly. The ONLY difference is what we cover at the reception. This package only covers the significant moments at the reception such as your first dance, cake cutting, toasts, garter toss, etc. Unlike Package 1 there will be no coverage of things like cocktail hour, dinner and general dancing.

If you'd prefer to "hand pick" what you'd like covered and delivered, we are extremely flexible and happy to work out something custom for you. Here is pricing for our most common offerings.

These prices are based on Hampton Roads weddings that are no more than 7 hours in duration. If your wedding is especially short or unique in some other way, we'll be happy to work out something custom for you. Note that pre-ceremony and drone coverage is also available.

FAQ's
How can I book your wedding videography services?
All you need to do is contact us to check availability, download and fill out our contract, and send us your completed contract with a $250 deposit. That's it!
How long is the final wedding video?
This depends largely on your ceremony, since we don't edit anything out of the ceremony. But, most final products end up being about an hour and a half. It's just like watching a movie! The highlight video will be 4-5 minutes in length, perfect for online sharing.
When will I get my wedding video?
Patience IS a virtue, but luckily you won't need much. Most clients get their edited video files back within 3-4 weeks. Actual turnaround time depends on our workload at the time.
What if there's a problem with my wedding video?
We are human, mistakes happen. If there's any issue at all with your final video, we keep your project on our editing system for 10 days after it's delivered. Just let us know the problem and we'll make it right.
Do you travel?
Of course we do, who doesn't love a Caribbean wedding?! Special accommodations outside of the Hampton Roads area can be made on a per client basis. Just let us know what you have in mind.
